The Start

I've always wanted to start a blog. But never really know what to write about. You see, being an ordinary Joe, living an ordinary life, what would I write about that can make people interested? I don't travel that much to be a travel blogger. I don't know fashion enough to be blogging on what's Hip and not. Heck, I can't even play video games that well to be having a YouTube account like Pewdiepie. But then the perfect opportunity came along. It all started January of this year when I woke up on the 1st January and made a resolution. My resolution this year was to loose weight and be fitter! I have lost count of how many times this has been my New Year resolution that remains unfulfilled year on year. But this year, I reminded myself that "For Things to Change, I must Change First". I also got inspired by a colleague who lost 20kilos in 6 months through liquid diet. Also I got reacquainted with an ex colleague who lost 90kilos in 3 years (he was really big)! I told myself, if they can do it, why not me? So I made a pact to really lose the lard. So I dragged my 95kilo ass around town to look for the perfect gym. Previously I signed up with a few of the bigger gyms to know avail. I know my problem. It was mainly food intake (I lived to eat) and lack of motivation. I prefer to do my heavy lifting in a bar. Lifting pints of beer! I found Bodik. Bodik is a Japanese private gym. I knew about Bodik through a friend (Thanks Miki) who has also trimmed up considerably since she joined. And with a tagline that says "loose weight or money back guaranteed", it was enough to make the Scrooge in me sit up and take notice! The price tag is hefty. But it does have 3 things that really enticed me: 1) It is a private gym - meaning when you work out, the gym is all yours. You don't have to take a number to hit the mega station or to have a hundred pairs of eyes watching you grunt over a bench press of 40 pounds. 2) You have a personal trainer who watches over you like a hawk over your physical transformation 3) Your personal trainer starts a WhatsApp chat with you to monitor and track your daily food consumption and to tell you what you can/cannot eat throughout the day. So finally, on the 15th Day of the Lunar New Year (11th Feb 2017), I signed up. You will automatically do that when you meet Hiromi, who is like mochi after meal. Sweet and dainty, unpretentious and just hits the spot. I was assigned to Wayne. A huge guy who promised to wear kilt to workouts if I cheated on my diet or if I didn't manage to transform. I was also given another back up trainer (Jia wen) who will stand in when Wayne goes on his dodgy trips to Bangkok. With that, I am ready for an adventure...
